The Yankees aren’t going down with Ben Rice and Jazz Chisholm on the bench.
Despite the Red Sox starting a lefty in rookie Connelly Early, Aaron Boone is going with the hot hand after Rice and Chisholm helped lead the Yankees to a Game 2 win over Boston in the wild-card round.
The righty-hitting Paul Goldschmidt started Game 1 of the series over Rice and went 2-for-4 in the 3-1 loss.

The Yankees are putting Amed Rosario in the lineup again after he started Game 1 over Chisholm at second base — but this time the veteran will start at third.
Austin Wells will be behind the plate after driving in the game-winning with an eighth-inning single in Wednesday night’s 4-3 win.
