What Travis Kelce really thought of risqué Taylor Swift song ‘Wood’

Travis Kelce gave his stamp of approval to fiancée Taylor Swift‘s steamy new song “Wood” — a track off her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” that fans believe is about the Chiefs star’s manhood.

During Wednesday’s installment of the “New Heights” podcast, the 36-year-old Travis couldn’t help but laugh and played coy when his brother, retired Eagles center Jason Kelce, tried to get him to react to the sensual lyrics.

“Do you feel cocky about the song ‘Wood?’… That’s not just any song, this is a very specific you,” Jason, 37, said.

“No,” Travis replied, adding that it’s a “great” song. “Any song that she references me it’s very… I love that girl, so what do you mean? Any song that she would reference me in any way or form.”

Jason tried to bait Travis into discussing it, but he wouldn’t budge.

“Well, it’s not just you though, it’s an appendage. It’s not just you, it’s a very specific thing,” Jason said.

“I think you’re not understanding the song. No way,” Travis insisted.

The brothers shared a laugh when Jason began making jokes about his own manhood.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift spoke about her new album on an August 2025 installment of “New Heights.”

Earlier in the show, Travis praised Swift on her new album and gushed over her songs about their life together.

“Let’s just give it up for Taylor real quick. She’s done it again,” Travis said while he and his brother applauded the singer. “She’s put the world on tilt. It’s been so fun to see everybody’s reactions. We’ve had an absolute blast watching her go through all of her press tour… But she’s looked amazing, sounded amazing, and this album is absolutely amazing, and if you haven’t heard it yet, please go check out ‘The Life of a Showgirl.’

“… It was fun to hear all of these come together knowing that a few of them, as she has mentioned, have been about our life together… She makes talking s–t sound so sweet.”

Swift — who said Kelce’s favorite track on the new album is “Opalite” — sent fans into a tizzy last week after they got their first listen of “Wood,” arguably her sexiest song to date.

The track boasts sensual innuendos and risqué lyrics, such as the pre-chorus: “Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me / And opened my eyes / Redwood tree / It ain’t hard to see / His love was the key / That opened my thighs.”

Swift, 35, sings about not having to knock on wood and says, “The curse on me was broken by your magic wand.”

The song also references other superstitions, such as “stepped on a crack” and “black cat.”

During an appearance Monday on “The Tonight Show,” Swift told host Jimmy Fallon that she entered the studio wanting to write a “timeless-sounding song” and that “it really started out in a very innocent place.”

“I don’t know what happened, man,” Swift said, laughing. “I got in there, we started vibing, and I don’t know, I don’t know how we got here. But I love the song so much.”
