The White House revealed Monday that Edan Alexander, the American who was held hostage by Hamas for 584 days, will meet with President Trump at the White House to mark the two-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel.

Alexander, an Israeli-American citizen from New Jersey, was freed by the Palestinian terror group in May and was believed to be the last surviving US hostage.

The president will meet with Alexander, 21, in the Oval Office at around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, according to the White House.

The meeting comes as Trump pushes for a deal to end the war in Gaza.

The president unveiled a 20-point plan last week that he hopes will result in the release of the estimated 48 remaining Hamas-held hostages in Gaza and a pause in fighting.

“They’ve gone very well,” Trump told The Post Monday about how the “technical talks” on implementing the peace plan are going. “We’ll see what happens by the end of the week. But they’re going very well.”

Hamas slaughtered more than 1,200 people in Israel and kidnapped another 251 people on Oct. 7, 2023, sparking Israel’s campaign to take out the terror group and free the hostages.

Alexander previously met with the president and first lady Melania Trump at the White House in July, where the freed hostage revealed that his treatment during captivity improved after Trump was elected in November 2024.

“I came to thank the person responsible for saving my life,” Alexander said at the time. “It was deeply moving to be in the White House, the same place where my parents had fought for my release so many times, but this time together with them.”

In May, Trump described Alexander’s release as an important step toward ending the war in Gaza.

“This was a step taken in good faith towards the United States and the efforts of the mediators — Qatar and Egypt — to put an end to this very brutal war and return ALL living hostages and remains to their loved ones,” the president said.

Last month, Alexander revealed that he intends to return to the Jewish State and rejoin the Israel Defense Forces.

“Next month, God willing, I will return to Israel,” Alexander remarked at a dinner for the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces.

“I will once again put on the IDF uniform, and I will proudly serve alongside my brothers,” he said.

“My story does not end with survival — it continues with service.”
