Taylor Kitsch must have forgotten he was on daytime television when he visited Today With Jenna & Friends Tuesday (Aug. 5) morning.

The Friday Night Lights star cursed on the air while revealing he once completely bombed an interview, but not in the way you would think.

Joined by his The Terminal List: Dark Horse co-stars, Kitsch was playing a game with Jenna Bush Hager and Matt Rogers where the Today co-hosts had to guess which secret belonged to which actor on the cast. One secret in particular left the stars shocked: “I had a strong coffee before my audition and had an accident in the waiting room. I threw my underwear out in the trash can of the bathroom.”

“Can I just say, who among us hasn’t had this experience?” Rogers asked.

Kitsch revealed that he was the one who had suffered an “accident” while waiting for an audition. But he also cursed on the air while recounting the story, which clearly sent Bush Hager into a bit of a panic.

“I was in L.A. living out of my car and I would get all of these crazy auditions, like four in a day. and I needed a strong coffee and I’m having it, driving to the audition,” he recalled. “I’m sitting in the waiting room just like this and I shit myself. No joke. And the bathroom door is right there and I’m like, ‘Oh my god.’”

Bush Hager gasped after he cursed and appeared to look over at her crew behind the camera as he continued recounting the story. Fortunately for them, the swear word was censored during the live broadcast.

Kitsch continued with the story without missing a beat. “I threw my underwear in the garbage can came back out and waited and did not get the job,” he said.

At the end of the segment, Kitsch denied that embarrassing moment had happened at an audition for Friday Night Lights. “No, I got that one,” he said.

Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
