Bryan Kohberger posed in shirtless selfies with wound on hand after University of Idaho student murders

Quadruple murderer Bryan Kohberger snapped several disturbing selfies – including him flexing shirtless with an apparent wound on one of his hands – days after killing four University of Idaho students in November 2022.

Newly released photos obtained by NewsNation on Tuesday recorded a sliver of the convicted killer’s actions before he was arrested for the gruesome murders of Xana Kernoodle, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen and Ethan Chapin.

Kohberger gave a two-finger salute on the top of his forehead as his collarbones protruded from his shoulders, according to photos from the Latah County Sheriff’s Office, obtained by the outlet.

A wound on Kohberger’s left ring finger is seen in the photo — a potential cut he sustained when one of the students fought back during the fatal home invasion on Nov. 13, 2022, the outlet reported.

No other injuries from the undated photos are visible on the then-Washington State grad Ph.D. student.

The wound was seen in one of two other photos that captured Kohberger shirtless as he showed off his upper body and wore earbuds in various stances.

In a third photo, Kohberger flashed a devilish grin and showed off his teeth as he bizarrely stared directly into the camera, according to an extreme close-up photo from the Latah County Sheriff’s Office, obtained by the outlet.

Kohberger’s “creepy” behavior was well documented during his studies at the Pullman, Wash., school — receiving 13 formal complaints from classmates.

He received his first complaint in his first semester at the school, quickly earning him a reputation for “being a d–k,” members of the WSU community said in unsealed documents and interviews obtained by People.

Several women accused Kohberger of making sexual comments about them, including asking a deaf classmate if “she would be comfortable procreating given the fact she had a disability,” the outlet reported.

Two other women had reported Kohberger’s actions to police, claiming he had been stalking them for months before the grisly murders.

The unidentified females told the Idaho State Police that Kohberger would make “daily” visits to their places of work before he made “unexpected” home visits, People reported Tuesday.

One woman, a then-book store employee, says she was changing in her room when someone knocked on her window.

The frightened woman says she called for her husband, but the mysterious figure ran off.

“Another time, after she had started working, she heard someone moving around on her porch at approximately 7:00 in the evening. Her husband came home again and saw a white car leaving the area,” the outlet reported, citing police documents.

Kohberger infamously drove a white Hyundai Elantra, a key piece of evidence investigators used to pin him to the Idaho murder scene.

The second woman, an undergraduate who worked in the criminology department, told police Kohberger made several advances toward her and constantly sought her after work.

“Kohberger made eye contact with her when she looked out, which seemed strange because you would have to be looking directly at the window where she worked to make eye contact,” the docs stated.

Kohberger was arrested at his parents’ Pennsylvania home on Dec. 30, 2022, over a month after he fatally stabbed the four college students.

He pleaded guilty to the quadruple slaying on July 2, 2025, shortly before he was expected to face trial.

Part of the plea deal guaranteed he wouldn’t face a firing squad, and instead was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences, plus 10 years for a single count of burglary.
