Citadel global head of litigation Brooke Cucinella discusses the case against the IRS over leaked tax records on ‘The Big Money Show.’ President Donald Trump’s push for lower interest rates is drawing criticism from allies and opponents alike, raising fresh concerns over the Federal Reserve’s independence and the potential risks to the U.S. economy. SpaceX just fired off one of the biggest shots yet in the spectrum wars, agreeing to pay $17 billion to take over a massive chunk of wireless airwaves from EchoStar for Starlink’s direct-to-cell services. The deal is the most aggressive signal yet that SpaceX wants to rule the satellite-to-phone market. The significance of the sale, which sees SpaceX paying a mix of $8.5 billion in cash and $8.5 billion in SpaceX stock, centers around a finite resource: spectrum. Spectrum refers to the range of radio frequencies that carry wireless signals for everything from phone calls to texts to GPS and…

The current administration full of hateful philistines gutted National Endowment for the Arts funding, especially for institutions promoting art about diversity and gender identity. If all the world’s a stage, then our world must be in a bad way. Despite it all, the Seattle theater scene is still kicking and still recovering. The stages across town are striving for a 2025–2026 season full of life—and one chock-full of productions that…

Next up is Joe DiMaggio, who hit 361 home runs as a Yankee, though Judge has some work to do to catch the top three on the list: Babe Ruth (659), Mickey Mantle (536) and…

The former president has denied all the charges against him. The first justice to cast his vote, Alexandre de Moraes, said there was “no doubt” that there had been a coup attempt after Bolsonaro lost the 2022 presidential election to his left-wing rival, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The second justice, Flávio Dino, also found Bolsonaro guilty of all…
The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the administration to freeze nearly $5 billion in foreign aid payments that President Trump moved to cancel in a rare “pocket rescission” last month. In a one-page order, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts granted the Trump administration’s emergency request to block a federal judge’s Sept. 3 ruling that required $11.5 billion in funds previously appropriated by Congress to be dispersed. Roberts partially stayed Washington, DC-based District Judge Amir Ali’s order for foreign aid spending “subject to the President’s August 28, 2025 recission [sic] proposal currently pending before Congress.” Roberts ruled in favor of…
