There has been a quick change on E Olive Way where Korean pub Imo Pocha is now E.A.T. Asian Tapas Bar.
We think you’re supposed to call it E-A-T — not “eat.” We are also sorting out any ownership changes behind the switch in brand and direction.
Early reports indicate the joint is still centered around Asian drinking food but with a broader approach including tempura and skewers. Imo Pocha’s business and liquor licenses are still active at the location.
The change is the latest for the tiny E Olive Way spot once home to the original Glo’s Diner.
CHS reported in 2023 on the arrival of Imo Pocha in the space. For more than 30 years, Glo’s brought brunch lines to E Olive Way before its move to a much larger new space above Capitol Hill Station two years ago.
Imo Pocha started with a new, upgraded kitchen as the building got new local ownership. In the summer of 2022, the owners of Captain Black’s and Stumbling Monk teamed up to buy their part of the block.
It seems to have been a successful investment with the longtimers still thriving and newcomers like The Doctor’s Office continuing to grow their place in the Capitol Hill food+drink economy. CHS reported earlier in 2025 as The Doctor’s Office marked its fifth year of business.
Now T.D.O. has an E.A.T. restart next door. Stop by and let us know what you think, O.K.?
E.A.T. Asian Tapas is located at 1621 E Olive Way. Learn more at @eatasiantapas.
